For 2022: An innovative short term programme for skills development in the workforce

 

PEP Talks

PEP Talks is an initiative by the Stronger with Digital Coalition and is Cambodia’s first holistic workforce forum covering the workforce in the light of People. Economy. Progress.

PEP Talks aims to bridge workforce gaps across the value chain over a two days forum.

Through this initiative, The Idea Consultancy supported by Cambodian’s Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, Digital Divide Data and The Capacity Specialists will host a virtual event covering the insights, gaps, solutions for the preparation of Industry 4.0, and overall improvement of the Cambodian workforce capacity through digital, technical and soft skills such as empathetic practice.

The first forum will focus on digital skills for entry-level and high-risk/priority demographics in Cambodia.

    Workers are also consumers. When paid a livable wage, they can meaningfully engage in consumer markets such as domestic tourism and boost other sectors. Most importantly though, workers are human, we believe that our economy and livelihoods will thrive when the basic needs of workers are met.

  • Economy

    A strong financial position and booming markets attract further investment and benefits for the Kingdom. Explore topics on policies, performance and skills we need to adopt to bring greater value for organizations and the Kingdom.

  • Progress

    Cambodia has a long way to go before becoming a global player, it's current labour-intensive industry needs to transform into a skilled augmented -AI and technology-led job market. Explore topics and insights on the future of work and how the Kingdom can prepare.

2022 -2023

Our 2022 - 2023 strategy establishes a baseline for Workforce Development and Livelihood that will help inform stakeholders in the workforce value chain from policy-makers to students on what support, needs, skills, and issues are relevant for now and the future.

You will find the most pressing needs, current solutions, stakeholders, policies, and activities on the PEP Talks channels and platforms as we co-design with partners and stakeholders in the workforce ecosystem to improve the livelihood and skills of the Cambodian workforce.
